Basketball Recap: Johnson Ferry Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Johnson Ferry Christian Academy suffered their biggest loss since January 20th on Tuesday. They were outmatched by the Horizon Christian Academy Warriors and fell 86-53. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Saints' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Several Saints players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was David Cannon, who shot 41% from the field en route to 15 points and five rebounds. Cannon is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Trent Witte, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards.

Johnson Ferry Christian Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Horizon Christian Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Johnson Ferry Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cherokee Christian at 7:30 p.m. on December 2. As for Horizon Christian Academy, they will take on Pope in a tournament on Saturday.
