Football Recap: Berry Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Berry's offense. They had to suffer through a 28-0 loss at the hands of the Olympic Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while the Trojans are ranked 79th).

Berry didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Marquise McNair, Elijah Britt, and Noah Brown picked up one apiece. McNair also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with eight.

Bryce Nixon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Olympic, rushing for 182 yards and two TDs while picking up 10.7 yards per carry, and also picking up 33 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Chance Cato, who rushed for 101 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries.

Berry is on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9. As for Olympic, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2.
