Volleyball Recap: Washington County Takes a Loss

Washington County and Central Christian Academy squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Washington County had to settle for second. They fell 2-0 to the Lions. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Anna Goeckel paced Washington County's offense, picking up seven kills. Goeckel got some help from Jayden Laflen and her ten assists.

Washington County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-26. As for Central Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-12 record this season.

Washington County has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Inman on the 20th. As for Central Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Moundridge on the 20th.
