Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Horizon). They really took it to the Jefferson Silver Foxes for the full four quarters, racking up a 35-7 victory. The Scorpions have beaten the Silver Foxes the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Silver Foxes has come to flipping the script.

Horizon got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaiah Aguilera out in front who rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns. That's the most rushing touchdowns Aguilera has posted since back in September. Abraham Barraza also helped out with an impressive 121 receiving yards.

Another reason for the win was Horizon's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 5.5 sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Juan Lopez and Christopher Gutierrez, who racked up 4.5 sacks between them. Gutierrez has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last five times he's played.

Horizon's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Jefferson, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-9.
