The matchup between Marion and Peru on Thursday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Giants blew past the Tigers 9-0. Marion might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Peru from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Christofer Vasquez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by himself.

The victory (which was Marion's fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those four matches. As for Peru, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

Marion and Peru are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Giants will square off against East Noble at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
