Softball Preview: Pottsville Crimson Tide vs. Wyomissing Spartans
The Pottsville Crimson Tide will challenge the Wyomissing Spartans at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Pottsville will be strutting in after a victory while Wyomissing will be coming in after a defeat.
Pottsville barely beat Our Lady of Lourdes Regional the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Pottsville never let Our Lady of Lourdes Regional get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Crimson Tide, who have now won three contests by 12 runs or more so far this season.

Aubrey Scanlan was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jes Siminitus, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Kylie Schoedler put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.
Pottsville now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Wyomissing, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
