Baseball Recap: College Park Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact College Park can now relate to. They came up short against the De La Salle Spartans on Saturday, falling 11-2. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

College Park got a good showing from Sebastian Alvarez, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. Alvarez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, College Park saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Berkowitz, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

College Park's defeat dropped their record down to 17-11. As for De La Salle, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-4 record this season.

As of now, neither College Park nor De La Salle have any future games scheduled.
