Volleyball Recap: Poly Takes a Loss

Poly was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the El Rancho Dons.

Leandro Juarez paced Poly's offense, picking up five kills. Juarez got some help from Jao Libunoa and his eight assists.

Poly's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for El Rancho, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Poly and El Rancho should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Poly will face off against Chavez at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday up 484 places (248 vs. 732). Meanwhile, El Rancho (ranked 197th) will meet Santa Fe (ranked 650th) at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
