Softball Recap: Northside Christian Drops Highest Score of Season Against Shekinah Christian

Northside Christian barely beat Shekinah Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions put the hurt on the Flames with a sharp 29-23 win on Saturday. The Lions' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Northside Christian got a massive performance out of Ana Hundley, who went 4-for-6 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That triple was Hundley's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Taylor Cowles, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with three stolen bases and four runs.

Northside Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .542 or higher in four consecutive matches.

Northside Christian's record now sits at 4-5. As for Shekinah Christian, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
