Basketball Recap: Harper Takes a Loss

Harper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the Johnson City Eagles. The Longhorns lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 44-13 score last time.

Harper's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 15-4. As for Johnson City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-4.

Harper will face off against Center Point at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Johnson City, they will challenge Mason at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
