Baseball Recap: South Sevier Victorious

South Sevier proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 11) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Milford Tigers. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Stockton Roberts looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Peyton Ingram, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Cannon Barney was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

South Sevier's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Milford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-9.

Coming up, South Sevier will challenge Richfield at 6:30 p.m. on the 24th. As for Milford, they will square off against Beaver at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
