The Unionville Longhorns will square off against the Bishop Shanahan Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Unionville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.

Unionville easily dispatched Sun Valley on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Unionville fell just short of Downingtown East by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday. The Longhorns haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Jake Daly made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Bishop Shanahan hadn't done well against Avon Grove recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Bishop Shanahan came out on top in a nail-biter against Avon Grove, sneaking past 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since May 3, 2024.

Cole Simmons looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Bishop Shanahan's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Trey Merritt, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Having lost for the first time this season, Unionville fell to 3-1. As for Bishop Shanahan, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.

Unionville came out on top in a nail-biter against Bishop Shanahan in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Does Unionville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bishop Shanahan turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
