Baseball Game Preview: Rancocas Valley Red Devils vs. Eastern Vikings

The Rancocas Valley Red Devils are taking a road trip to square off against the Eastern Vikings at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Rancocas Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came out on top against Clearview by a score of 14-10 on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Red Devils considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Jaylen Alvarez was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Young, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and one double.

Rancocas Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Eastern faced Sterling in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Vikings walked away with a 7-4 win over the Silver Knights.

Eastern's record now sits at 12-1. As for Rancocas Valley, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
