Baseball Game Preview: New Town vs. Franklin Indians

New Town will face off against the Franklin Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (New Town has four straight wins, Franklin has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Thursday, New Town got the win against Owings Mills by a conclusive 17-4. New Town might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 12 runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Franklin came up short against Sparrows Point on Thursday, falling 15-1.

New Town pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Franklin, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

New Town might still be hurting after the 21-2 loss they got from Franklin in their previous matchup back in April of 2018. Can New Town avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
