Baseball Recap: Calvary Day School's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Greensboro Day School typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Calvary Day School proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Bengals. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Austin Setliff was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emerson Amrich, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Calvary Day School's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-4. As for Greensboro Day School, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3.

Calvary Day School will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bengals: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
