Basketball Recap: Norwell Finds Playoff Glory Versus Marion

With a playoff win on the line, Norwell rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They blew past the Marion Giants 81-28. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Marion saw an underclassman step up: freshman Nyomi Hahn dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds. Hahn is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted three or more in the last three games she's played.

Norwell has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.9 points over those games. As for Marion, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

Norwell has already played their next game, a 64-16 win against Mississinewa on the 7th. Marion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
