Basketball Game Preview: Emerald Aerouants vs. Pittsburg Pirates + Official Tickets

For the first time this season, Emerald will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the Pittsburg Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Emerald took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They came out on top against Concord by a score of 61-50. The Aerouants pushed the score to 53-33 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bears cut but never quite recovered from.

Emerald found their leader in freshman Brian Lin, who went 7-for-12 en route to 20 points along with seven boards and seven steals. Alex Lin was another key player, shooting 54% from the field on his way to 17 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Pittsburg was able to grind out a solid victory over McClymonds on Wednesday, taking the game 68-56. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Emerald's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Pittsburg, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
