Volleyball Recap: Conard Comes Up Short

Conard lost against Bristol Central back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Red Wolves took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams. The Red Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-12, 23-25, 25-17.

Kate R paced Conard's offense, picking up nine kills. R got some help from Jayme K and her 24 assists. Ellen B and Phoebe K kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Azaria Rochester went supernova For Bristol Central., getting 19 digs and one assist. Those 19 digs gave Rochester a new career-high.

Conard's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Bristol Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Conard will challenge rival Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bristol Central is set to face off against their familiar foe Bristol Eastern at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
