Volleyball Recap: Mt. Markham Picks Up 16th Straight Win at Home

Mt. Markham put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Frankfort-Schuyler Maroon Knights as the Mt. Markham Mustangs made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in December of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-10, 25-16.

Layla Rice paced Mt. Markham's offense, picking up eight kills. Rice got some help from Addison Jones and her ten assists. Alexandria Graziano controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Mt. Markham pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Frankfort-Schuyler, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Markham will challenge Sherburne-Earlville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Frankfort-Schuyler, they will head out to square off against Canastota at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
