Benicia let Northgate stack five runs on them in the third inning on Thursday but luckily Benicia prevailed anyway. The Panthers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Broncos, sneaking past 10-8. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Broncos back in April, they had to take a 8-4 defeat.

Kloie Ruiz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and six unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alana Robinson, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Leilani Andrews, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Benicia has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Northgate, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-11.

As of now, neither Benicia nor the Broncos have any future games scheduled.
