Basketball Recap: Fallsburg Comes Up Short

Fallsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 57-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Port Jervis Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Comets of the 56-51 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2022.

Fallsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Port Jervis, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fallsburg will face off against Sullivan West at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Port Jervis, they will take on Cornwall Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
