Dunnellon barely beat Crystal River the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Everything went the Dunnellon Tigers' way against the Crystal River Pirates on Monday as the Dunnellon Tigers made off with an 11-1 win. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pirates, too.

The team relied heavily on Gavin Whitehead, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Michael Payne, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs.

Dunnellon's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Crystal River, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Dunnellon will take on Union County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crystal River, they will square off against Dunnellon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
