The Bronchos fell just short of the Affton Cougars by a score of 6-5 on Wednesday. The Bronchos' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Steven Schwartze was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Bryce Bradford, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Bayless' defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Affton, their record now sits at 8-12.
