Softball Recap: Portland Adventist Academy Starts Season with Victory at Home

Portland Adventist Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Vernonia Loggers as they made off with a 14-1 victory.

Vernonia dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Portland Adventist Academy will take on Neah-Kah-Nie at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the Cougars their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Vernonia, they will head out to square off against Rainier at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Loggers are facing the Columbians at the right time seeing as the Columbians are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
