Baseball Recap: Brattleboro Falls Short Against Ranked Mount Anthony

Brattleboro faced Mount Anthony in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Bears fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 3-2. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Brattleboro saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was John Satterfield, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. Satterfield is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Zach Corbeil also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Brattleboro's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Mount Anthony, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2-1.

Brattleboro didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-3 win against Otter Valley on the 16th. As for Mount Anthony, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Burr & Burton on the 16th.
