Baseball Recap: New Hampton Comes Up Short

New Hampton has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.96 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They fell 10-5 to the Decorah-North Winneshiek Vikings. The Chickasaws have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

New Hampton's loss dropped their record down to 21-5. As for Decorah-North Winneshiek, the win (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

Looking ahead, New Hampton will host Oelwein at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Decorah-North Winneshiek, they will head out on the road to face off against Cedar Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
