Basketball Game Preview: Brentwood Bruins vs. Lincoln County Falcons

The Brentwood Bruins will challenge the Lincoln County Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Brentwood is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games.

Last Friday, Brentwood didn't have too much trouble with Warren County as they won 65-48. Given the Bruins' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers are ranked 194th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lincoln County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Nolensville on Friday, sneaking past 48-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Falcons have posted since February 26, 2024.

Brentwood pushed their record up to 24-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33 points. As for Lincoln County, their victory bumped their record up to 23-7.

Brentwood ended up a good deal behind Lincoln County in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, losing 70-53. Can Brentwood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
