Football Recap: Bob Jones Starts Season with Victory Against Cullman + How To Watch

Bob Jones had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Cullman Bearcats as they made off with a 28-3 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Gakobey Gill had a dynamite game, throwing for 374 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per attempt. A healthy portion of that aerial production (98 yards to be exact) went to Christopher Caterina.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Bob Jones' defense and their five sacks. Cullman's QB won't forget Tyler Karl anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Karl has been hot, having also posted six or more total tackles the last five times he's played.

Coming up, Bob Jones will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Lee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cullman, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on Mortimer Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
