Craigmont lost a close one when they played on Tuesday but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on on Wednesday was a bit more commanding. They fell victim to a rough 12-5 loss at the hands of the Kingsbury Falcons. Craigmont has not had much luck with Kingsbury recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Carmello Wells and Tahj Caldwell stepped up to the plate in a big way. Wells scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Caldwell scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Aaron Patton was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in all two of his plate appearances.
Craigmont's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Kingsbury, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3-1.
Craigmont will look to defend their home field on Friday against Trezevant at 4:00 p.m. As for Kingsbury, they will head out on the road to face off against Craigmont at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
