Softball Game Preview: Salem Rams vs. Woodstown Wolverines

Salem is 2-7 against Woodstown since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Rams will venture away from home to face off against the Wolverines at 4:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Salem is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Wednesday. They lost 18-1 to Pennsville Memorial.

Meanwhile, Woodstown came up short against Clearview on Thursday, falling 18-1.

Woodstown has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Salem, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Salem suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Woodstown in their previous meeting back in May of 2023. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
