Softball Recap: Francis Parker Takes a Loss

While it was Francis Parker who put the first runs on the board on Friday, it was Tri-City Christian who put up more. The Lancers came up short against the Eagles, falling 20-2. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Francis Parker saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evelyn Luo, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Luo has launched this season.

Francis Parker's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Tri-City Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-3-1.

Coming up, Francis Parker will host Santa Fe Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Lancers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Tri-City Christian, they will head out to challenge Valley Center at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Jaguars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.9 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
