Recap: Anacortes Seahawks vs. Lakewood Cougars
The Anacortes Seahawks came into Saturday's matchup having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They slipped by Lakewood 57-56 on Saturday. Anacortes' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Lakewood's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was EMMA TOCCO, who scored 12 points along with five assists. Another player making a difference was Leiana Riveira, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Anacortes' victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8. As for Lakewood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.
Anacortes does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lakewood also has no future games currently scheduled.
