Soccer Recap: Sterling Takes a Loss

Sterling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Westbury Huskies, falling 7-1. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 792nd, while the Huskies are ranked 197th).

Sterling's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Westbury, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0-1.

Sterling has already played their next matchup, a 9-0 loss against Spring Woods on the 4th. As for Westbury, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Galena Park on the 1st.
