Football Recap: Heritage Comes Up Short Despite Matt Mason's Big Defensive Game

Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 28-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pacific Pirates.

Despite the loss, Heritage still got an impressive performance from Matthew Flores, who rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.

Even if they lost, Heritage's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was Matt Mason with two.

Pacific's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aiden Johnson, who picked up 98 receiving yards and one TD.

Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Pacific, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Heritage has already played their next matchup, a 40-31 win against Canyon Springs on the 2nd. As for Pacific, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-7 victory against San Bernardino on the 26th.
