Baseball Recap: Wawasee Warriors vs. West Noble Chargers

Wawasee and West Noble squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Wawasee had to settle for second. They fell just short of the West Noble Chargers by a score of 6-4. Wawasee was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as West Noble apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Ty Brooks was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Brooks has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in eight consecutive pitching appearances. Brooks was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Brooks wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kaleb Salazar, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
