Baseball Game Preview: Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs vs. East River Falcons

The Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs will face off against the East River Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Tuesday. Flagler Palm Coast fell 9-6 to DeLand.

Flagler Palm Coast saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Flis, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave Flis a new career-high.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, East River was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They came up short against Apopka, falling 8-1. The game marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

East River also got a good showing from Chance Griffin, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

Flagler Palm Coast's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-9. As for East River, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.
