Baseball Recap: Poland Starts off Right with Win over Presque Isle

Poland gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Presque Isle Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since May 9, 2024.

Presque Isle now has a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Poland will host Medomak Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Knights' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Presque Isle, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-6 victory against Freeport on the 22nd.
