Basketball Game Preview: Sahuaro Cougars vs. Catalina Foothills Falcons + How To Watch

The Sahuaro Cougars will square off against the Catalina Foothills Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sahuaro knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Catalina Foothills likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Sahuaro beat Sahuarita 65-60. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won eight in a row.

Cisco Llamas continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 20 points in addition to eight assists and four steals. His big performance that evening made it 14 games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Salter, who posted four points along with 13 boards and five assists.

Sahuaro smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in seven consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Catalina Foothills). They took their contest on Monday with ease, bagging a 95-62 win over Pueblo.

Sahuaro's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Catalina Foothills, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Sahuaro didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Catalina Foothills when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 73-69 victory.
