Softball Recap: West Bridgewater Takes a Loss

If West Bridgewater was feeling good fresh off their 18-1 takedown of Bourne on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats lost 9-1 to the Seekonk Warriors on Wednesday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

West Bridgewater saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alanna Fidalgo, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

West Bridgewater's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Seekonk, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-4.

Coming up, West Bridgewater will head out to square off against Greater New Bedford RVT at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Seekonk has already played their next match (against Bourne), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
