Baseball Recap: Richland Takes a Loss

Richland and Forrest County Agricultural squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Richland had to settle for second. They came up short against the Aggies, falling 11-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Aggies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 on Friday.

Bryce Shows was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

This is the second loss in a row for Richland and nudges their season record down to 9-13. As for Forrest County Agricultural, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season.

Richland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Forrest County Agricultural, they will head out to challenge Northeast Jones at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Aggies' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
