Basketball Recap: Millikan Triumphs

If Jordan wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Millikan, they should've done a better job of containing Jeremiah Hunt. The Millikan Rams were the clear victor by a 97-75 margin over the Jordan Panthers on Wednesday thanks in part to Hunt, who went 12 for 16 on his way to 32 points along with eight assists and eight steals. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Tariq Bridges, who posted three points in addition to eight boards and five assists. Those eight rebounds gave him a new career-high.

Millikan's victory bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Jordan, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Millikan will challenge Woodrow Wilson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jordan, they and Cabrillo will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday without much rest having both just played. Cabrillo knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Jordan likes a good challenge.
