Volleyball Recap: Archbishop Carroll Lions vs. Bishop O'Connell Knights
Archbishop Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Bishop O'Connell Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-11, 25-2.
Avery Prendergast was her usual excellent self, getting 13 aces and seven digs for Bishop O'Connell. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Hobson, who had three digs and two aces.
Archbishop Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Bishop O'Connell, the win for them keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Archbishop Carroll will face off against St. Mary's Ryken at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bishop O'Connell, they will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Paul VI at 6:30 p.m.
