Football Recap: Eastern Guilford Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

Eastern Guilford and White Oak squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Eastern Guilford had to settle for second. They fell 32-22 to the Vikings. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Eastern Guilford lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Javion Majette, who threw for 162 yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 58 yards and one score on only eight carries. Another player making a difference was Tyler Whaley-Melvin, who gained 134 total yards.

Even if they lost, Eastern Guilford's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was Abram Holland with two. He has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last three times he's played.

Eastern Guilford's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for White Oak, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6.
