Baseball Game Preview: Upper Scioto Valley Rams vs. Waynesfield-Goshen Tigers

For the first time this season, Upper Scioto Valley will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They are taking a road trip to take on the Waynesfield-Goshen Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Upper Scioto Valley fell victim to New Knoxville and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 9-0 to the Rangers. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Rangers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Upper Scioto Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Macain Underwood, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Waynesfield-Goshen came up short against Riverdale on Friday, falling 15-5. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Waynesfield-Goshen now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Upper Scioto Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Upper Scioto Valley couldn't quite get it done against Waynesfield-Goshen when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 8-3. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
