Softball Recap: Oak Glen Beats Marcellus for Their Eighth Straight Win

Oak Glen entered their tilt with Marcellus on Tuesday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They blew past the Mustangs 11-3. Considering the Golden Bears have won 13 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Mattie Carney was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Macy Hartung, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Oak Glen's record is now 16-6. As for Marcellus, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coincidentally, Oak Glen and Marcellus will both be playing Moore Catholic the next time they take the field. The Golden Bears will head out to face the Mavericks at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, while the Mustangs will play them later in the day, at 11:05 a.m.
