Wallace-Rose Hill gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 59-57 win over the Clinton Dark Horses. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Dark Horses recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Clinton's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anyahs Butler, who went 6-for-13 to rack up 17 points along with five boards and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of James Sinclair, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.

Clinton dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Wallace-Rose Hill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-42 win against Pender on the 5th. As for Clinton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-62 victory against Lakewood on the 5th.
