Bremond never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Bartlett Bulldogs with a sharp 16-0 win. Considering the Tigers have won nine games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Charlye Martin made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Samantha Lenamom was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addyson Young, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5.
Bremond was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bartlett only posted a batting average of .286.
Bremond has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Bartlett, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.
Looking ahead, Bremond will welcome Thorndale at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. Bartlett does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
