Football Recap: Mathew Mcdonald Leads Milton's Defense on Friday

On Friday Milton's undefeated season almost came to an end. They never let the Tate Aggies get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. While the Panthers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 0-10), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Milton's defense and their three sacks. In that department, Mathew McDonald was the leader with two. McDonald is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least six every time he's taken the field this season. Milton got some further help from Quameek Benton: he picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Milton's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Tate, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Milton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 53-27 win against Navarre on the 19th. As for Tate, they have also already played their next game, a 27-7 victory against West Florida on the 19th.
