Softball Recap: Central Dragons vs. Penns Valley Area Rams
Central lost against Penns Valley Area back in May of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Central Dragons suffered a rough 11-5 loss at the hands of the Penns Valley Area Rams. Central has not had much luck with Penns Valley Area recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Alexis Fetzer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Ashlyn Renner was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Central now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Penns Valley Area, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.
Central will take on Greater Johnstown at 4:30 p.m. on April 5th. As for Penns Valley Area, they will head out on the road to challenge Bellwood-Antis at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
