Columbus East came into Thursday's game looking for another win against Jeffersonville, but Malachi Crowder wouldn't allow it. Jeffersonville skirted past Columbus East 3-2 for which the team can thank Crowder, who had 24 digs and two assists. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 11 or more in each of the last seven games he's played dating back to last season.

Jeffersonville had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 23-25, 25-16, 25-22, 15-5.

Jeffersonville now has a winning record of 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Jeffersonville is set to face off against their familiar foe Carmel at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Columbus East will challenge rival Hamilton Southeastern at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
